ACAD Assisted Custom Routing

An extremely accurate, 2 axis CNC router used along with ACAD design software allows Leatherwood Plastics to produce close tolerance fabricated items as well as “blind mortice and tenon” structural assemblies for the strongest possible, all-plastic fabrication.

The use of these tools reduces our production cycle time and increases the fit, finish and strength of our final products, increasing value to our customers while reducing our product’s cost.

Wegener Plastic Sheet Butt Welder

Programmable for plastic sheet materials such as Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVDF, PVC and other thermoplastics in various thicknesses allows Leatherwood Plastics to produce greater material lengths to accomodate large parts equipment as well as cylinders from 14" diameter up to 120" diameter, 120" in length and up to 1/2" in wall thickness.

Whether it be the fabrication of single pieces or volume production our customers benefit from efficient production, high process reliability and reproducible seam quality.

Wegener Plastic Sheet Bender

Leatherwood Plastics can edge and bend thermoplastic sheet from thicknesses up to 1" and 120" wide providing repeatable, quality construction.

Multiple bend capability on a single piece with 8" minimum distance between bends. Tank walls from a single sheet of material up to 1" thick bent at 90°. Optical clarity materials such as polycarbonate, acrylic and clear PVC for smooth transition eyeshields. L-shapes, U-shapes or any angled bend between 0° - 135°.
